Don't Breathe is a horror-thriller movie starring Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Stephen Lang(Avatar Fame) directed by Fede Alvarez. The movie is about how Rocky(Jane) has robbed $3,00,000 from blind man's (Stephen Lang) house. Rocky gets trapped inside the house and also get to know the things happening inside the blind man's house.

Dead Pool

Dead Pool is comedy love story starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Millerar directed by Tim Miller. The movie plot is about a man suffering liver, brain cancer. He wanted a cure for his disease, then he will come across a doctor who turns him into a superhero(mutant with the totally burnt body) unknowingly. He keeps himself away from the lover as he is afraid that she might be scared of him. The movie is one of highest grossing movies in 2016 and the sequel of the Dead Pool is going to release in 2018.

Passengers

Passengers movie is science fiction movie starring Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt directed by the Morten Tyldun. The movie is about a man awakening from hibernation after the spaceship has collided with a large asteroid and spaceship has traveled 30 years (total journey takes over 120 years). The movie is about the man surviving in the spaceship for the rest of 90 days in the Spaceship.

The passengers movie has nominated for Oscars in Best Original score and Best productions categories.

Hacksaw Ridge

Hacksaw Ridge is based on the true story starring Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey directed by Mel Gibson. The story is about life of the Desmond Doss during World War II. Desmond Doss joins the military and refuses to carry the weapons in the battlefield. Higher officials send him to imprisonment for not carrying a weapon. But he manages himself the battlefield without a weapon and saving the several injured soldiers in the war. He received the first conscientious objector who received the medal of honor.

The film received 6 nominations for 89th Academic Awards and won awards for best sound mixing, best editing Oscar awards.

Jungle Book is a Fantasy adventure movie starring Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba directed by Jon Favreau. The movie is based on 1967 Walt Disney's Jungle Book. The story is about Mowgli, a boy in the wild forest.

The movie has won Oscar for best Visual Effects and one of highest grossing movies in 2016

Arrival

Arrival is a Science fiction movie starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker directed by Denis Villeneuve. The movie is all about finding the reason why the alien spacecraft has arrived on earth and what they wanted from human being. Louise Banks(Amy Adams) has a linguist and mother of a daughter trying to decode the alien's language to the military forces.

Though Arrival movie has received 8 Oscar nominations, the movie couldn't able to bag a single award.

La La Land

La La Land is a beautiful drama love story starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, directed by the Damien Chazelle. 

The movie plot is around the two characters Mia(Emma), an aspiring actor and Sebastian(Ryan), a Pianist. She gets mesmerized with the Sebastian's Jazz music at an restaurant, Sebastian's restaurant owner fires him for disobeying the instructions. They spend some time knowing each other about their career. In an argument between Mia and Sebastian, she blames him for abandoning her dreams to become an actor. He encourages her to focus on her dreams when she received an invitation film audition and wins the audition. 

After five years later, she is a popular actress and married to another man with a baby. One day she attends Jazz music bar, where she realizes that Sebastian, it is Sebastian Jazz club and she departs from her husband, shares a smile with Sebastian.

The movie has received 14 Oscar nominations in total and the movie has won 6 academic awards.
Emma Stone has received an Oscar award for her performance in La La Land.

Lion is based on the true story of Saroo Brierley starring Sunny power, Dev Patel, Nawazuddin Siddiq directed by Garth Devis. The movie is about the life story of Saroo, how he meet his biological mother after he missed himself when he was at the age 5.

Manchester by the Sea is a drama film starring Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams, Kyle Chandler directed by Kenneth Lonergan. The movie plot is around the a man who looks after his nephew after his father's death. Lee(Casey) stays in Boston and returns to Manchester by the Sea after his friend Joe's death. He stays there for a while as there is a delay in the Funeral. Lee's don't wish to stay in Manchester by the Sea because he lost his three sons in a house fire. Lee arranges George as a guardian for Patrick(Joe's son) as he is not willing go out of the Manchester by the Sea.
